MESH Awards $24,000 in New Community Grants

Continuing its successful Community Grants and Matching Grants programs, MESH has awarded $24,000 to worthy local charities that serve those in need in Washington metropolitan area. The Hoya Hub, which provides access to food and other necessities for Georgetown University students in need was awarded a grant of $5,000 for their important work. MESH has also continued its longstanding support of La Clinica del Pueblo with a grant of $7,500 to assist with their critical efforts to bring medical care to the Latino community, including mental health, substance abuse prevention and treatment, and primary care.

Working with local DC Masonic Lodges and Chapters, MESH has continued it's matching grant program to support charities who receive funding from those organizations. This year MESH matched donations to the John S. Mulholland Foundation for $5,000, $2,500 to the DC Grays, and $2,500 to the Fishing School, all in conjunction with generous donations from Anacostia-Pentalpha Lodge No. 21. The William D. Boker Thanksgiving Program also received a $1,500 donation in partnership with Samuel Gompers-Benjamin Franklin Lodge No. 45.

Lodges and Chapters may participate in the Matching Program by contacting MESH at Secretary@meshdc.org or calling the office directly.

MESH Returns to Silver Spring, MD

We are pleased to announce MESH is settling into our new home. Our location at 8403 Colesville Road, Suite 640, in Silver Spring, is directly atop the Silver Spring Metro Plaza, with ready ease of access, including by Metro, bus, or car. For those who prefer to drive, MESH’s move is to a space that has plentiful parking options, including right at the Plaza, an affordable nearby public parking garage, and street parking.

MESH’s return to Montgomery County is well suited for the operation of MESH, including ease of accessibility for all, including those with any mobility limitations. The space is dedicated to MESH (versus a shared office), and is reasonable, both in size and configuration, to facilitate MESH’s day-to-day operational needs. We look forward to welcoming you to the new space!
